Welcome to the Mt. Pleasant website. I am glad you have chosen to spend a few moments looking around, discovering our church family. Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcomed at Mt. Pleasant. And once here, we pray that people will meet God and as a result of meeting God, give their lives to Jesus Christ.

What We Do
Mt. Pleasant is called to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and the beliefs of the evangelical Christian faith, to maintain the worship of God, and to inspire in all persons a love of Christ, a passion for righteousness, and a consciousness of their duties to God and their fellow human brings.
We pledge our lives to Christ and covenant with each other to demonstrate His Sprit through worship, witnessing, and ministry to the needs of the people of this church and the community.
Together, we're striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there's down to earth teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need.

About Us
Mt. Pleasant is hosting the District Congress of Christian Workers Conference of the South Florida Progressive M. B. Association from June 12, 2024 to June 15, 2024.

Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church was organized in 1926 in Deacon Arthur James’ house in Spruce Alley on Chestnut by the late Reverend Aaron Burney, his wife, Frances, and children. The church was named Mount Pleasant Baptist Church by the late Sister Frances Burney. Their son, Herbert Burney, is currently a member of Mt. Pleasant.
